Fully Charged: Walking Dead game series renewed, the first Mad Max: Fury Road trailer is stunning, and Doom played on an ATM
Kick off the week with a smattering of interesting tech world tidbits
The Walking Dead game returning for third season
Licensed games rarely shine, but Telltale Games’ episodic adaptation of The Walking Dead comic series has been one of the most amazing gaming experiences of the last couple years. And it will continue on, as the studio and comic creator Robert Kirkman confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that a third season of the game is planned.
No details for now, however, since season two is still underway—the fourth episode just released, and one more is still on its way. But it’s excellent news for a series that we just called one of the best games available on Mac. Of course, it’s on many other platforms, including PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Vita, iOS, and Android.

Mad Max: Fury Road trailer shows explosive return
After a full 30 years away, the post-apocalyptic Mad Max film series will return to cinemas in 2015 with Mad Max: Fury Road. Out is original star Mel Gibson, replaced by Tom Hardy, but despite the huge gap in time, original creator and director George Miller is back to helm this latest entry.
It’s not entirely clear whether this is a proper reboot or if it somehow falls within canon, but the first trailer—revealed at Comic-Con this weekend—is one hell of a riotous return for the cult favorite franchise, and makes this look like one of the most exciting flicks of next year.

Watch Doom played on an ATM

You can catch some of the footage above, and they’ve since configured the side buttons for weapon selection. Nice work! But will it run the new Doom?

Original cast of Alien discusses Alien: Isolation
Sega’s upcoming Alien: Isolation already looks like the most promising game adaptation of the classic film franchise in ages, but the publisher dropped a bomb a couple weeks back revealing that the original core cast of Alien—including Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, Harry Dean Stanton, and more—will reprise their roles in a downloadable add-on mission.
Riding the wave of Comic-Con buzz, Sega released this trailer to show the actors returning to the studio to lay down some voice work and discuss the process of revisiting the iconic world. Alien: Isolation launches on 7 October for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
