Xbox One gets a month head start with DLC for The Division
Data miners dig out all the missions ahead of launch too
It’s almost time to explore post-biological disaster new York in The Division – but Xbox One gamers will have a head start when it comes to DLC.
Ubisoft has announced three paid DLC expansions for the game, adding New York’s subway tunnels and a survival mode later in the year.
Microsoft has bagged the first two expansions on a 30 day exclusivity deal, meaning PS4 and PC gamers will be waiting a month before they’ll be able to get in on the action.
The third DLC pack, “The Last Stand”, is still a bit of a mystery, and will be arriving on both consoles and PC simultaneously.
All of the Division’s free content updates will get simultaneous releases too, so it’s not the end of the world if you’re planning on picking it up for Sony’s console or the PC.
The game officially launches today, but data miners over at Reddit have already extracted the guns and armour you’ll be hunting for in the dark zone, along with all the main mission names.
It’s all heavy spoiler territory, so we won’t spill the beans here, but if you want to know what to look out for you can read this spreadsheet, which lists all the items in the game.
The achievement list has leaked out too, and aside from one or two neat Judge Dredd references, they all seem like standard fare.
Expect to do quite a bit of grinding to get that elusive Platinum trophy or 100% completion though – deconstructing 100 items just sounds like a chore.
The Division goes on sale today on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. We’ve been playing it in preparation for a full review – with a livestream archive of our first four hours now available to watch in case you won’t be playing until the weekend.
