Lossless audio will be music to the ears of the Sony Ericsson faithful – the company has announced its first Walkman phone to support FLAC.

On top of its codec chops, the Zylo promises to keep up to speed with social networks, as does its lossy sibling the Spiro. Both also sport video and picture sharing skills, plus TrackID music recognition.

Spec-wise, the Spiro touts a 2MP cam and stereo Bluetooth, while the 3G Zylo has 3.2MP snapper and location-based tools such as geotagging. Both support microSD cards up to 16GB.

The Spiro will be available in pink, green or black this autumn; the Zylo in silver, pink or black around the same time.

No news on how much cash you’ll have to part with yet, but the word ‘affordable’ has been bandied about. We’ll update when we hear.
