Global megacorporation Omnicorp wants to keep you safe – with its new line of drones, war droids and RC-2000 robotic law enforcers.

Okay, just kidding – this teaser for the remake of RoboCop, directed by Elite Squad’s Jose Padhila, gives us a glimpse at the new-look ED-209 and RoboCop. The film will star Joel Kinnaman as the titular cyborg law enforcer, alongside Abbie Cornish, Gary Oldman, Hugh Laurie and Samuel L Jackson.

This may be a work of fiction – but given the news that BAE is trialling unmanned drones over the UK, can we expect to see ED-209s patrolling our streets before too long?
