Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro deals and SIM-free price: how to get a free Pixel Watch 2

The Pixel 8 series will be on sale soon. But when? All the Pixel 8 price and pre-order answers are here for you.

Pixel 8 close-up

The Google Pixel 8 series is now available to buy. Here’s all the price and order info for Google’s latest top smartphones. Selected locations are also offering a free Pixel Watch 2 as part of Pixel 8 deals, too.

As with the last few years, there are two new handsets available – the 6.2-inch Pixel 8 and the premium 6.7-inch Pixel 8 Pro. You’ll find the Pixel 8 available in Hazel, Obsidian, and Rose. Whereas the Pixel 8 Pro is available in Bay, Obsidian, and Porcelain.

There are a few design tweaks for you to enjoy, including curvier corners, a matte rear panel, and a flat display on the Pro device.

Pixel 8 release date

The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are now available to buy – the Pixel 8 release date was 12 October. So you’ll now be able to find the new smartphones in stores for you to try before you buy.

Most networks – as well as Google itself – are doing trade-in deals if you have an older Pixel to swap out.

Pixel 8 SIM-free price and latest deals

You can purchase the standard Pixel 8 model from $699/£699. Both prices are a hundred more than the previous-gen Pixel 7, which may irk some long-time Pixel fans. However, the handset is $100/£100 than the comparable iPhone 15, so that’s a tick in Google’s box.

Pixel 8 Pro SIM-free price and latest deals

At a higher price, you’ll find the Pixel 8 Pro retailing for $999/£999. Similarly to the standard model, this is $100/£150 more than last year’s Pixel 7 Pro, which is going to cause some upset. And Google is matching the retail price of the iPhone 15 Pro rather than undercutting it, so can’t even get points for this.
