Pioneer launches DVD-playing super sat nav

Both models provide maps in 2D or 3D, real traffic information up to 93 miles away, and the ability to store up to 400 contacts from your phone to make and answer calls handsfree using your car’s speakers.
On the media side of things, both sat nav units play CDs and a range of audio files, can play music from your iPod or iPhone, and boast RCA out points for hooking up external amps and subwoofers – with one on the F310BT and three on the F910BT.
The lesser-specced F310BT comes with a 4.3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, and allows the sat nav part of the unit to be removed and hooked up to your PC to analyse your journey and driving records. You can even get an Eco Report to check out how your driving is affecting your fuel consumption.
The F910BT on the other hand comes with extras on its sibling such as 44 European maps, 3D landmarks, DVD playback, multiple sensors for accurate positioning in areas of weak GPS signal, and full voice guidance.
Both units are available now, with the F310BT coming in at £649.99, and the F910BT at a wallet-stinging £999.99.
