Microsoft Office officially lands on Android smartphones

Five weeks ago, Microsoft announced its preview of Office for Android, and now the full final smartphone version is officially available on the Play Store.
Over the last five weeks the company was obtaining feedback from users using the preview apps, which include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Once you sign up or register with a free Microsoft account, you can review and edit documents, including ones stored on Google Drive and Dropbox, which is rather handy. Users can also use PowerPoint to edit and manage their presentations, before casting them to larger screens.
There are also a number of features which require an Office 365 subscription, including the ability to change page orientations and save annotations.
You can download the app from Google Play for free right now, assuming your handset is supported, and it’ll also arrive pre-installed on over 30 devices, from the likes of Sony, LG, Samsung and more.
