iPad Mini to be announced in October?

Hot on the heels of the iPhone 5, we can expect a 7in iPad Mini to come out swinging from Apple HQ

The unicorn of the Apple line-up, the iPad Mini, may soon prove to be real – and many expected it to be launched alongside the iPhone 5 on September 12th. But it looks like Apple doesn’t want the iPad Mini stealing the new iPhone’s thunder – and we’ll have to wait until October to get a look at it.

John Gruber, a blogger who lives on the highest, most respected floor of the Apple rumour mill, has pointed out Apple won’t risk sharing the stage with itself in September.

So while that means more work for us covering two events, it gives dedicated Apple fans an extra month to save their pennies after blowing their paycheque on the iPhone 5.
