Deal alert: Amazon’s giving away £70 worth of free apps

Amazon is giving away £70 worth of free apps to “help shake off those Winter Blues”.

While you can’t burn apps for warmth (we’ve tried), it’s certainly good news for your wallet, and offers a chance to try out a whole host of apps you’ve never pulled the trigger on.

The promotion kicks off today and ends on 14 February, and includes everything from running apps and guitar-trainers, to recipe apps and games.

Google pulled the Amazon Appstore from the Play Store last year, but you can still download and install it directly from Amazon. Make sure you’ve got your device setup to install apps from unknown sources – all the instructions are on Amazon’s site.
