CES 2015: LookSee smart bracelet brings customisable glamour to your wrist

It'll last an entire year on a single charge too

Smartwatches are great and all, but can they last an entire year on a single charge? Nope.

But the LookSee smart bracelet can.

Aimed primarily at women (although a man-friendly version is in the works), the LookSee is  a fashion accessory first, notification centre second.

An iOS app pushes different patterns to its E Ink display, letting users switch up the style whenever they fancy. You can also use downloaded pictures or camera shots, so you could even wear a selfie on your wrist. Though please don’t.

The app also lets you add custom watch faces, and QR codes, maps and boarding passes are also supported. It’s open for developers too, promising extra functionality when it’s eventually released.

We tried the LookSee on here at CES, and it feels very light and flexible, and will be available in three sizes to suit a myriad of wrists.

While you can charge it via microUSB, you won’t have to do it very often – we’re told that it’ll last an entire year, if it has an update every hour. Take that, sleepy smartwatches.

We haven’t got a firm price or release date yet (or confirmation of an Android app), but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
