Twin-screen ZTE Axon M is a new kind of foldable phone
You ain't seen a flip phone quite like this before
What do you think of when we say “dual-screen phone” – An old Nokia clamshell? The Moto Razr? Well ZTE is taking things in a whole new direction with the Axon M. The 5.2in, 1080p screen up front is hinged, hiding a second matching display on the back for double the fun. Fold it out and you get a single 6.75in, 1920×2160 screen – albeit with a whacking great seam down the middle. Neat. Inside, the specs aren’t killer, with last year’s Snapdragon 821 and only one camera, but that 20MP pixel count should help it take decent shots when you aren’t opening and shutting the screen, OCD-style. It’s going on sale in the US in November for US$725 SIM-free, but there’s no word if we’ll be getting our fold on here in the UK.
