Samsung’s EX2F boasts brightest compact camera lens
Sammy's new pocketable snapper comes packing a light guzzling lens and a metal-clad body to boot
Samsung has revealed its EX2F compact camera which boasts an F1.4 lens – the brightest lens of any compact snapper to date, according to the South Korean tech giant.
The full-metal body of the EX2F is home to a 12.4MP backside-illuminated CMOS sensor and a 3in AMOLED display, along with the ability to record 1080p/30p video while capturing simultaneous still shots.
Wi-Fi is also included for easy PC and cloud backups, as well as letting snap-happy socialites upload their nights out to the likes of Facebook and Picasa.
A handy Wi-Fi Android app can also transform your smartphone into a remote and viewfinder for the EX2F – ideal for banishing mirror profile pictures into the internet dark ages, where they rightly belong.
Full manual modes, 3.3x optical zoom, HDMI connectivity, RAW capture and image stabilisation round off the spec sheet rather nicely, although pricing and release information has yet to be revealed.
