HTC Rezound official pics appear online

It's a Red October for HTC with this scarlet Beats smartphone

If there was an award for the most leaked handsets in a year, HTC would win hands-down.

The latest victim of an unintentional outing is the Beats-toting HTC Vigor – press shots of the phone clad in an HTC hardshell case have appeared online, following snaps of the phone in the wild that leaked last month.

The Vigor’s been issued with a new moniker, the Rezound. That ‘z’ is clearly HTC’s attempt to sound down with the kids, but it’s likely the yoot will be more interested in the Beats headphones it’s packaged with.

The Rezound sports the same red Android keys as the Sensation XE – which HTC seems to be using to distinguished Beats-enabled phones from their less musically-inclined counterparts.

The HTC Rezound hits US shelves on 10 November, and is expected to arrive packing a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3in 720p HD display and an 8megapixel snapper. It’ll also have a rather impressive 2megapixel front facing camera, and will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread – with the HTC Sense interface, of course.

No word on the UK release date, but we’ll keep our ear close to the ground for the latest news.
