HP webOS to take on Apple and Google

It’s getting busy up in the clouds. Now HP adds its own music and media streaming service

HP’s webOS has an impressive UI (as we found with our HP TouchPad hands-on). Now the company is planning to launch a cloud-based media streaming service into that slick interface that will go head-to-head with Apple’s iCloud and Google Music – and the tablet isn’t even out yet. Billboard magazine says it’ll feature music, movies and TV show streaming – presuming HP’s current talks with the record industry go smoothly. The HP TouchPad is rumoured for a July 17 release, with the 16GB model set to leave the shop in exchange for £400.
