Harry Potter ebooks now available
JK Rowling has set her Harry Potter world loose on the digital domain for muggles and wizards alike to download
Harry Potter has escaped Voldemort’s clutches and fled the world of muggles and wizards to explore the territory of ebooks, a place he has never been before.
JK Rowling’s seven tomes of wizardry have broken their paper-only spell to warp from the real world on to our virtual bookshelves. And unlike The Monster Book of Monsters (which required wizards to tickle its spine before opening) Harry Potter will come in the accessible EPUB format.
That means you’ll be able to read Potter on iOS, Android, Kindle, Nook and more. All can be bought from the Pottermore website; or directly from Kindle, Nook and Sony Reader. Android fans can get Harry Potter fix directly from Google Play.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban will be £5, while Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will set you back £7. You could, as many muggles and wizards will likely do, buy the Harry Potter Complete Collection for a Dobby’s-ear-width shy of £40.
So far over 450 million copies of Harry Potter have been sold worldwide in more than 70 languages. Now Harry’s Nimbus 2000 has flown him into the digital realm, we imagine JK Rowling’s bank balance will be a marvel of science only supercomputers can calculate.
