Microsoft working on its own smartwatch
It looks like Microsoft isn’t satisfied with the Surface tablet – it's getting into wrist-mounted computers too
With a tidal wave of smartwatches threatening to engulf us, Microsoft is set to enter the the fray with its own offering.
According to The Wall Street Journal‘s sources, Microsoft plans to release a touch-enabled watch with a 1.5in display to compete with rumoured smartwatches coming from Apple and Samsung.
Unlike Apple’s iWatch and Samsung’s Altius smartwatch, this isn’t Microsoft’s first time making a watch. Remember its Smart Personal Objects Technology watches from a decade ago, that delivered news, sports and IM over FM radio? No? That’s probably because they failed. Better luck this time, then.
