HTC One (M8) Max phablet to feature a 2K screen?

Leaked specifications suggest the larger M8 variant will be powerful enough to rival the Samsung Galaxy Note 4

We’ve previously heard that HTC is working on a larger, more powerful edition of the One (M8) called either the One (M8) Prime or One (M8) Max, and now we may have some specs to go with our speculation.

Chinese site My Drivers has posted what it claims to be a leaked spec sheet for the rumoured phablet – which it says may actually end up being called the HTC M8 Life – and if it’s accurate we’re looking at a very powerful device indeed – one capable of rivalling the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in sheer tech muscle.

More info next week?

There’s a 5.5in 2K screen, a Snapdragon 805 processor running at a speedy 2.7GHz, 3GB of RAM and the latest edition of Android with HTC’s Sense 6.5 UI running over the top. The rear camera will apparently boast an 18MP sensor and optical image stabilisation, while the body will be made from a reinforced aluminium ceramic alloy. That all sounds rather fancy, we think you’ll agree.

HTC is holding an event next Wednesday, 8th October, during which it’s expected to announce a waterproof action camera called the RECamera as well as the HTC One (M8) Eye, a One (M8) variant with a 13MP Duo camera. Perhaps we’ll get some confirmation of this phablet too?
